Health Watch.

A textile wriststrap combined with innovative measuring system for medical applications such as: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Ambient Assisted Living (AAL). is curently in development with partner SCINT



 


 

 

 

Bedcare Plus: Prevention of pressure ulcers and moisture wounds.

The system replaces the current woven and knitted cotton bed sheets that are not smooth and the inelastic silicone based transfer sheets, typically used in healthcare facilities. Due to its unique properties, the system is able to guarantee during motion in bed, repositioning and transfer, a more comfortable operation.
The innovation system for the prevention of pressure ulcers and moisture wounds during brief or prolonged stay in bed has been developed based on Smart Textiles. The textile system can be used for bedsore risk groups in nursing homes, but also in hospitals. If used in the domestic environment, this can lead to postponement of inpatient admission.

Special diaper for premature babies.  

In cooperation with a top clinical hospital a diaper measuring system is being developed for medical health analysis of premature babies.


 

 

 

 









Magnesium wheelchair.

The development of an ultra-lightweight wheelchair based on magnesium, combined with a high-tech 3D textile lift / seat cushion for long stay, whereupon the user without additional actions may be transferred. Within the project the magnesium wheelchair delivers a significant contribution to the enhancement of mobility combined with the prevention of skin problems, offering more comfort, reducing unnecessary transfers and reducing healthcare costs. These functional innovations can yield a great improvement for disabled wheelchair users.
